2012 Region 3 Race Schedule and
Dixie Cup Championship Rules

The purpose of the Region 3 Dixie Cup Championship Series is to offer Quarter Midget drivers in Region 3 the opportunity to compete at all regional tracks for regional championship points.

Dixie Cup Benefits:

Increased interaction between tracks within Region 3
Strengthen friendships between drivers/families within Region 3
Enhance competition within Region 3
Build communications between Region 3 clubs
Increase ability of race teams to adapt to different tracks

The Region 3 Dixie Cup Championship Series will consist of 9 races. Participants MUST compete in a minimum of 6 races, one at each of the 3 tracks, to qualify for the Region 3 Dixie Cup Championship. One of these events will be the States Race, which is a qualifier for the Grands. The States Race for 2011 will be held at the Huntsville Quarter Midget Association on May 14th. To avoid The Grands hardship fee, you must run all cars at the States Race that you will be running at The Grands.

Jr. Animal will only require 5 races instead of 6 in 2011 to be eligible for for the Dixie Cup Series.

All Dixie Cup races will be run by Grands format. Qualify order will be determined by pill draw, the lowest number in each class will be the last to qualify.

Friday:

Safety will begin at 6:00 p.m. local time.
Registration will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. local time

Saturday:

Safety from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. local time.
Registration from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. local time.
Controlled Practice at 8:00 a.m. local time by class (in race order). 8 cars for 3 minutes by class, one round per class.
Driver/Handler Meeting will begin immediately following controlled practice.
Qualifying will begin promptly following driver/handler meeting.
